Christmas in a song
In November 2003 we recorded Christmas in a song (written by Darrick Wood,
recorded by Nathan Robinson at DSL).
We only meant to record this song as an exercise in studio recording...but something very
cool happened...and it became much more than an "exercise".
I love listening to this song...it has a vibe that draws me back time and time again.

You done good
We recorded You Done Good at DSL (also with Nathan Robinson)
while preparing to record the album. It never made it
past "demo" stage...but I like it...so here it is.
The bass in this song is run through something called a "MoogerFooger LowPass Filter"...possibly
the sweetest effect ever created for bass.
This song was originally written to be part of
Touched (Touched was a dance production collaboration between
the Rythms of Life dance company and a.m. Sunday. For more info, click
here.)
You done good was one of three songs written to inspire the mood and movement for
"happiness". In the actual production it was used for the curtain call. [The other
two songs are: Resolution (which was used for the final resolving dance piece...hence
the name) and Happy (an uptempo James-Brown-style funk song and this was the one
that was the one used to represent happiness in the production ).]
